- Welcome to the {COMMO} Host mode
-
- Now that {COMMO} 5.00 has been released, my beta testing macro project has been
- released to all of you as the {COMMO} HOST. I have spent many hours in
- developing this macro, as well as testing {COMMO}, and I must say that you are
- using the best product out there right now, meaning {COMMO}.
-
- I wrote this macro for my own use, as I needed a small host mode and did
- not want to use the monster packages out there. Disk space is important to me,
- and that was the main driving goal.
-
- This host mode is much smaller than the one shipped with {COMMO}, and
- for those of you wanting just a host, it might suit your needs just as
- well. I did not include multi-user capability (YET) or bulletins. The
- host was planned for shipping with {COMMO}, but due to time constraints
- on my part, it was not ready for Fred to implement it in his released
- package. So, here it is!
-
- The files that are contained in this archive are:
-
- READ.ME This file.
- JBHOST.MAC The host macro program.
- JBHOST.HLP The host help file.
-
- Installing the Host
-
- To install the host mode perform the following steps:
-
- 1. Copy the JBHOST.MAC and JBHOST.HLP to your {COMMO} directory.
-
- 2. Please examine the macro file {:setup} section. This section contains many
- special variables that need to be set for each individual system. These
- MUST be changed before running the host mode.
-
- That is all it takes. I hope you have fun with the host mode. I can tell
- you that I sure enjoyed developing it.
-
- Look for new versions of this host mode coming to a BBS near you,
- very soon!.
